Forty ~ Summery Sheath Dress

I found this pretty summery sheath dress hidden amidst all the clothes in my closet and decided to dust it off! Even though it is is three seasons old, it’s still a classic piece that can be worn for years to come. What I love most about this dress is the subtle pop of yellow throughout the blue, black and white hues. Luckily for me, I had a pair of bright yellow heels and a bangle to match, which completed the whole ensemble!

Thirty~ Bright Blue Pencil Skirt

So, I almost forgot how much I love this skirt, the brightness of the whole outfit cheers me up.  I used to wear it with flats, when I had to walk around a lot, so it wasn’t very flattering, but once I started pairing it with heels it stopped looking frumpy. Both of these bright and gorgeous pieces were from JC Penney so you know they were a great price, but aren’t available anymore, but dupes are in the links!

Twenty ~ Vacation Essentials!

Vacations are in full swing and my essentials this year were tropical skirts, romantic dresses, crop tops, fun patterns, and floppy hats! The bikini is from Cupshe and it was only $18.99! My cousin rocked the floral dress from Target and I brought my favorite flowy skirt from Urban Outfitters! I’ve provided lots of similar looks below for the fun flowy skirt and the gorgeous dress from Target! My favorite item this trip was the floppy hat! You can find this hat on Etsy with a bunch of phrases to choose from and colors! Click the links below to check out my vacation must haves!

Forty ~ Fun Retro Skirt

When I wear this skirt, it always reminds me of the fifties  – the era of poodle skirts and swing dresses! You can also add a tulle petticoat underneath to give the skirt a bit more oomph! I decided to keep it simple, just like they did back then, and paired it with a classic cropped black cardigan and added the chunky red beaded necklace to match the color of the flowers! This was definitely a fun outfit to put together!

Thirty ~ Blues on Blues

This is one of my go-to outfits.  I think it’s a classic look and the shape of these clothes together are flattering no matter your body type.  This entire outfit is probably 7 years old (yes, seven) but it never goes out of style! Sometimes I like to belt it, but today I wasn’t feeling it, also, I used to pair this with my black pumps but they were eaten (ok, and they were worn out) so I wore these floral pumps again! The pants are The Limited and both the tops are from New York and Company.

Twenty ~ Beachy Patterns and Stripes

Sometimes you have to bring the beach to work! I really love these two dresses because they were made with the beach in mind. The stripe dress from Loft, is light a flowy with a summer time stripe pattern. Make sure you size down in this dress, it tends to run large! The blue dress is from Mahi Gold and it’s so comfortable with its cotton fabric and the pattern screams beach time. I paired each dress with the Charles David wedges from DSW!
