I love Christmas, ask my family, it’s my most favorite time of the year. Waiting to decorate each year was torture. This year was no different, so as soon as I woke up Black Friday, we pulled out all of our Christmas decorations and started. For the main tree in our great room, we used red, gold, bronze, and brown bulbs, in matte, shiny, and glitter and all sizes. Target and At home had the best deals when we were out and about stocking up on them, and we got out 9 foot tree from At Home as well, and this was the easiest thing to set up. No more searching for plug ends, all we did was connect the poles! The deer bust stocking holders were 10 dollars from Home Goods, and the plain ones were 2/10 at Target, all the stockings were from Target as well. If you have never thought of brown on your tree, give it a shot! It warms up your room and you will not regret it! We have a little truck I will have to update this post with pictures of that was from Home Goods as well, and it had pumpkins for fall, so we unbolted them and added our own tiny tree, now all we need is a “Columbia Inn in Pine Tree” sticker for the door!
I seriously can not explain how exciting and fun it was to decorate this mantle! We just moved into our new home and the first thing I did was go out and get the decor for this mantle and the tree! I was just too excited for the Holidays and I had to get started on my vision. I drew some inspiration from Pinterest of course with a Red, Gold, Silver, and White theme and from there the rest just fell into place! I am IN LOVE with this real garland that I got for $6.00 from Lowes on Black Friday! It lays so beautifully and it comes in a 20ft bundle and I only used about 7 feet, so I have so much of it left over for more decorations! I’m also a little obsessed with the deer theme this season, and these cuties are from Target, along with the cable knit stockings and tree skirt! I feel like the candles play up the rustic vibe, along with these gorgeous lanterns, all from At Home! If you haven’t been to At Home before, it’s time to go! Anything you could ever need ever is there. Lastly, I picked up this wicker basket from Michaels for 50% off and it ties in perfect with the lanterns! I use the basket for my blankets, and if you’re ever wanting a warm cozy faux fur blanket, check out the Pottery Barn collection!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday season! Check back here for more home decor inspiration throughout the season!
When I first saw velvet hair bows were making a comeback I was so excited! Besides the fact that I love bows and all things feminine, this brings me back to my childhood. When I saw the price tag (16 dollars?!) for a single bow, I knew I could make one myself. There are many versions of bows to make, but I decided to stick with a simple bow, this beauty took about 5 minutes to make.
When it’s Fall, but still savoring the warm days as if it was still Summer because the weather in Virginia is out of sync, I like to choose outfits that can easily transition between the seasons! Cropped pants and cute, pretty colored blouses are my faves, but you also can’t go wrong with a comfy dress, or pencil skirt! All these looks and warm color palettes are perfect for mixing and matching!

After unpacking all of my fall clothes I was a bit disappointed in my wardrobe. While there were a lot of articles, many sweaters were worn out and pilling, or had shrunk or just looked old and I needed a refresh. So I went out with my husband to the mall just to see what was out there, and ended up with a whole new (mostly casual) wardrobe for under 200 dollars! JC Penney’s is one of my favorite anchor stores in the mall, they always have classic clothes and are very reasonably priced. Every piece I bought can be worn with another piece multiplying my wardrobe even more. (Hint: JCP will do in-store price adjustments within 14 days, so if something you bought went on sale, go get the difference refunded to you, I actually did that with the vests and fluffy sweaters)
Mules are by far the best transition shoe for the fall! These beauties are the Magan Tassel Mule from Steve Madden, however they sold out most places so I’ve provided their twin from Sam Edelman! Click the below to shop !
Because we love this style so much and are falling for fall fashion, we decided to do a double post for you! Moto jackets are the in full force this year, and Blank NYC has affordable suede jackets that are flattering and gorgeous on every silhouette. We both took a plunge and splurged on jeans, and we both agree, they are well worth the extra cost, the stretch material doesn’t need washing to rejuvenate after one wear and they are like wearing butter. Kaitlan is pairing her outfit with a camisole from Express and Jacki is wearing a cashmere turtleneck from Halogen. Ladies, these staples are a must have for Fall 2017, and are such classic looks they will continue to be for years to come. Contact us for Nordstrom Trunk Club information!

I searched high and low for the perfect summer maxi dress, and when I thought all was lost, I came across this beauty! This wrap maxi dress is the perfect length for my petite frame, it’s lightweight, flowy, and oh-so pretty, while the opening slit gives it a little sexiness! The gorgeous pattern on the dress gives it such a boho-chic vibe – something that I’ve never really thought I could pull off! I decided to pair this dress with a pair of strappy wedge sandals (of course if you’re taller than 5 feet you could go with a pair of flat sandals to complete your look!) I’m definitely adding this to my summer faves!
